Tidy plug lead routing...
Discussion
OK - time to replace the extenders on my 4.0HC whilst getting it ready for the MOT ... has anyone got any photos of how they angle the extenders to get their leads looking neat? Mine look like a bowl of spaghetti but I can't see how they could be better positioned without fouling each other.

At the moment mine are routed away from the exhausts (well, apart from number 8 which dropped onto the exhaust this time last year when an extender "went limp") but just look messy ... would be nice to try to tidy them up next weekend so any tidy pics would be appreciated. (Does anyone else find the extenders a PITA to get on / off due to not being able to get a hand in very well? My hands are huge and just don't get in there.
Next weekend is a "work on the car before the MOT" weekend ... need to route a new set of windscreen washer hoses all the way from the washer bottle up to the washer nozzles, do the upper ball joints on the front wishbones, ideally do the NSF upper wishbone bushes, give it an oil change and - oh yes - put the front number plate back on.

Have a walk round the scrap yards Japanese cars tend to be the best source for lead tidies especially the older one's with distributors rather than coil packs fitted i.e Honda,s & Toyota's sorry about the poor picture it's old
they don't get brittle either and accomadate 7mm/8mm leads, mine are from my parts bin & over 20 years ago when I had left overs from fitting s/hand engines at the Honda dealer I worked for

Looks lovely and tidy - what I really would like to see is how you've arranged your plug extenders on the plugs to achieve a tidy result ... mine seem to always end up with 4 and 6 crossed over like the example that GED posted above - yours look like all yours (especially 4 and 6 which I seem to always get "crossed") are neatly "vertical"...Doesn't really matter of course - would just like to get the things a bit tidier if possible.

Whats going on with that exhaust manifold, is that Gun Gum smeared all over the top of it ?If you ditch the Magnecors you can also buy some decent leads like Moroso which have a 135 degree plug end, which means they sit vertically parallel with the rocker covers and tend not to make the extenders spin round on the plugs.
Magnecors really are untidy, the Moroso's can also be cut to which ever length you want and therefore can be routed how you want them . .
