Roof & Hood replacement

Hi all,

The roof on the Chimaera could really do with a bit of attention. It's in fairly good shape but the rear screen has a tear in it and one of the rubber seals on the roof panel has come adrift.

I've been searching on line and have found quite a few companies that offer replacement roofs but this one caught my eye:

If they are any good, it's hard to argue with the price! Has anyone ever dealt with them?

I'm just waiting for D & C Trim (Blackpool, ex TVR) to return my roof. They're re-covering the targa panel and fixing the window section to the bar that attaches to the rear of the car (which appears to be the fiddly bit). They’re also replacing all the seals and the price isn’t much more than these guys are asking just for the hood. When I get it back ‘all’ I need to do is bolt the bar to back into the car then tension/glue the hood to the ‘hoop’. Assuming I don’t completely muck it up I’ll post some pictures and a guide when it’s done. You’ve got the added hassle/cost of shipping the targa panel/bar to Blackpool but it's got to be easier than doing the whole lot yourself.

I had an entire new one supplied and fitted last year, there was no way i was going to do it myself. Give me a shout if you are interested. He came to my house (he's a local chap used by a well known TVR garage, removed the gubbins, took it all away, and came back a couple of days later and fitted the new one back on. Very reasonable price IIRC

Just thought I'd pop an update up on here.

I used the chap who Blues recommended and we're chuffed with the result. He did a fantastic job and I'd certainly recommend him to anyone else in the area or local to Racing Green.
