I have just replaced my engine and spent last night wiring and pipeing up.

There is a fly lead coming from the front of the car, adjacent to the washer bottle position that is about 2 foot long and has a 2 wire plastic connector and a single wire terminating in a single spade connector, (brown wire).

Any ideas where these go, doh!

I can help with that one mate. Its the oil pressure sender that is directly under the front pulley and the 2 wire connector is for the purge valve and connects to its other half on the engine loom.

Andy.

Are we talking about the same thing?

The lead I am talking about is a fly lead starting at the washer bottleish position, under the rad and then , I guess go backwards to somewhere??

Yep, had me scratching my head last night so checked on the wiring diagram in SH's bible that the colours coincided.

This is the beasty cable tied to the chassis.

The other Purge valve connector is grouped with the thick brown cable that runs from the alternator to 100A fuse and runs down the front of the block behind the alternator and down beside the water pump.
