Has anybody else experienced delivery problems from TVR gear. I ordered some stuff last wednesday and despite opting for the next day guaranteed tnt delivery before 12 noon, still have nothing. This is the third time this has happened to me.

I ordered a pair of wishbones last Friday at 2.00PM and they arrive to my door on Saturday at 8.00AM. Great Service!

Yep, ordered a cooling kit for £25, sent me the wrong bits and charged me £99. Phoned up, sent bits back, new bits arrived over a week later and after a months worth of phone calls got my refund. Also ordered some pedal estensions at the same time and still not got them, that's been about 3 months now.

I too have used these people, ordered an 18" spider rear wheel for my Tam. I have just looked on the website at the price and it is thus:
Category: Tamora Wheels and Tyres
Tamora - 18" SILVER REAR WHEEL TVR Official Part

Category - Wheels & tyres
£164.50 GBP

I paid for the wheel using their next day delivery service, however, only after ringing them up almost a week later was I told that a 'guy' is dealing with the internet orders right now! Why the hell did I pay for next day delivery before noon for??
I then get a call from TVR Gear saying that they have put the wrong price for the Tam wheel on their website, it should be £198.58,,,,, I said, 'yes,, and?', to which the reply was that 'For reasons of good will I can have the wheel for the quoted price as advertised',, gee thanks! I did suggest they update their website, to avoid this happening again, but,, having just checked, it's still at the same low price!
When I checked yesterday my Visa bill, I noticed that TVR Gear had actually taken the full £198.58, instead of the £164.50 I agreed to pay on their site, so they will be getting a call, also my Visa company will be getting a call tomorrow!
That was very naughty!
Oh yes,, ordered a Tam booster cushion ages ago, still no sign!, would have been quicker to sew my own!

Thank god for that, I thought it was just me. That is the whole point if stuff is not in stock they should just state that on the site, or at least have the courtesy to send an email / phonecall and say "dear valued TVR customer we don't have your XY or Z so do you mind waiting until next week?"

The answer would be of course we don't mind,

but they never give us that option.

SORT IT OUT PLEASE...... DEMON TWEEKS = order stuff and as if by magic it arrives when they say.

On a slightly different note does anyone else find their part descriptions completely useless....??

lol, indeed I did find the 'descriptions' somewhat wanting, to say the least! The website seems to be only half complete, and what I don't like most of all is there is no email confirmation of your order, so PRINT THE PAGE WITH YOUR ORDER NUMBERT ON FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!! Like I have done for my '£160 odd quid spider alloy, only to discover I've been charged and extra £40 more!
If the place is very small, and find it hard to cope with orders, then why give an option of next day delivery before noon?
having said that, we have found TVR Personel Possessions just as bad, ordered some Tamora car mats almost 2 months ago, took the £140 soon after we placed the order,, still no sign of the mats, and they don't like answering their phones!
The crap we put up with to buy British eh!!!

Is TVR gear TMS at Melton Mobray?

If so I went up there last year for a leven Tech grill what a f@@king pollava that was. They assured me they had a stainless steel grill in, but after driving there was only able to buy a black grill. No fixing kit at all and couldn't be arsed with another 3 hour round trip so had to fix it using old screws lying about in the garage. Complained to Leven who weren't really that arsed.

Next day delivery is very very cheeky and bordering on fraudulant. They should not process the card details until they can guarantee delivery, and certainly not charge extra for delivery.

"parts description" is non exsistant, demon tweeks however give you a good description, but getting a stepper motor from them is not that easy.

Whilst not our topic we have been mentioned so feel it is only fair to reply. JamesUK28 said "Complained to Leven who wern't really that arsed" As it is some time ago we cannot we cannot remember the details and so cannot coment specifically. However we take customer service very seriously no matter if the product is supplied direct or via one of our retailers and will always resolve the problem to the customers satisfaction. We only offer next day delivery if the item is in stock. Payment is only taken on despatch.

We apologise for the problems a small number of customers have experienced with our TVR Gear site. Clearly we need to bring forward our plans to overhaul the site which we have now got in progress with our site designers. All the comments from this string will be taken into account and incorporated into the upgrade. Thanks for your feedback

Pocon,

Thank you for being so open regarding the web site. I don't think people would mind so much if there was a little more communication with the customers, especially once an order has been placed.
Leveltech, I wish you did Tamora Kickplates!! everything else but!! lol

Well at least the MD of TMS /TVR GEAR has the decency to take our comments seriously, thank you.

The annoying thing is it could be such a great site if it was tweeked a bit. Sorry for getting on at you, and we all look foward to the new improved version.
