Mickey the Tiv
Discussion
I've decided to call my Chimaera "Mickey".
Why Mickey? you might ask.
It's because on Thursday I found a mouse nest in the vee of the engine, so I hoovered out the leaves etc and set a trap with a chunk of mars bar for bait.
On Friday morning I went to check on the trap - bait gone but trap not set off - you
b
ard! thought I.
Lifted the bonnet, low and behold there he was sitting in the vee again looking up at me! One 8 inch flat blade screwdriver later and he was nowhere to be seen. I thought I'd set the trap again just in case he had any mates. Went out yesterday morning - you guessed it - bait gone trap not set off AGAIN!
Lifted the bonnet and the cheeky t
at was there again staring up at me!
Another stab with the screwdriver, a little squeak as well this time and a bit of fur on the tip of the screwdriver!
Success at last!...or so I thought...
Re set the trap last night, bonnet up this morning and that f
ing mouse - a little fatter now due to the chocolate he's been eating - staring up at me.
Stab with the screwdriver, start engine, mouse runs out and gets away.
The trap is now set so finely that if I blow on it the trap will go off.
So that's why I'm calling the Tiv Mickey - as in mouse and because this one is definitely taking the mick!!!! AAAAARRRRGGHHH!

Here we go again!!
Went out to the garage to get "Mickey" out, thought I'll check the oil and coolant levels before driving and b
ger me if it isn't ANOTHER f
king mouse staring up at me from the vee!!
So, usual routine - flat blade screwdrivwer, start engine, set trap in the garage over night.
Checked Saturday morning and big fat mouse dead in the trap
Set another trap last night, checked it this morning and the bait had gone but the trap wasn't set off

I checked the vee but nothing was there today and I've left another trap set tonight.
So hopefully............
