Due to body off the engine has had no fluids for 2 years so no problems of mixing as it it completely empty., So what is the best anti freeze to go for, Red, Blue or ???.

The blue one. Red is for newer engines.

Exactly what I was told by Radtec, and the local car spares guy.

Used to have green in mine, but a couple of years back Topcats switched to orange. Just make sure that every drop of whatever is in there now is flushed out first.

And make sure you do any topping up with the same stuff. Its not just about the colour as (for example) different brands of red have different consituent parts.

I just get topcats to give me a litre of neat anti freeze whenever I've had it changed so I have a ready supply.

Useful. Thanks.
I will probably give mine another good flush and refill based on that.

Interestingly and for what it's worth, the Radtec man (they supplied my current radiator), gently insisted(?) I should use blue.
He did not say to not use something else but, he did say; "any we get back seem to have had red in them".
