Meta alarm hyper frequency module

Does anyone know what the M23T2 module under the central console does? I have just unplugged mine and nothing about the alarm seems to have changed.

I do not have any motion sensors in the car - never have. If that's relevant?

Having googled it I think it is a microwave sensor.

You do have a motion sensor, the microwave one you talk of...

If the roof is off the car, I can lean into the car and wave my arms around, withou setting off the alarm.

So presumably the sensor is not working...?
