talking of audio options?
Discussion
Basically, all fibreglass cars will pose a problem for installing an aerial as it will not have a "ground-plane" to fully capture the signal.
A "better" solution is with Mr Beer: http://www.djbeer.hostingbt.com/id31.html
I have one and it's much, much better than the original, but still not perfect, esp for DAB, but, hey whose listening to the radio anyway??

why is the signal for my radio in my car so crap? i recal being told that this is common and something to do with where the arial was chucked, possibly an afterthought at the factory? if so, what can be done?

well i guess most of you guys only drive every other weekend and put it to bed for the winter, so you got the novalty factor, but when its your every day driver its just nice to have the radio on when stuck in traffic or on a boring run.
If I hadn't thrown the first punch so to speak, I would take exception to that statement.
While it's never been completely my 'every day driver', I have averaged 7500mi / year since 99, including almost 4 years of that working from home (therefore no commuting miles). Rain or shine, even a 100 mile journey in a blizzard. There are few novelties left for us (the car and myself I mean), but the fun hasn't stopped

It was interesting to learn where the aerial is though (just in case I need one).
Good luck with it.
