I am sure someone can provide pictures, but I just held mine up next to the originals, esimated enough extra to fit into the levens, and cut the old ones off. No problems.
Scared Hell out of me too, as I had just bought the car, and didn't realise I was only cutting on a nasty old Vauxhall steering column

Yep that's the best way to do it.Scared Hell out of me too, as I had just bought the car, and didn't realise I was only cutting on a nasty old Vauxhall steering column

I'd only just got my car when I fitted them and agree it does take a bit of courage to start the first cut ....

Just done what you said, decided to be a man and get on with it.
Thanks for the guidance, what an improvement on the originals
They are soooooooo much nicer aren't they. It was the first money I spent on the old girl when I bought her (aside the 12 tanks of petrol day 1).Thanks for the guidance, what an improvement on the originals

Almost, if you can get hold of some of the old Zirtec blade type stalks (can't remember the make) their much, much nicer. I searched for a pair for my old Chim and found a used pair on e-bay after 7 months, still had to pay £50 for them. Well worth it IMHO and they make the leven offerings look cheap in comparison.
Any pics? not heard of theseV8 GRF said:
Re the blade stalks the make is Zertec, they look more like 'flappy paddles' than stalks.
Not a great picture but this is one type.

there is a set on ebay at the moment Not a great picture but this is one type.

Yes, I had them on my old Chimaera. Felt really nice, very sculpted. Didn't they do a similarly sculpted handbrake that also felt and looked great.
Yep I've got one on my Griff. I think it looks nice being so sculpted but more importantly it gives a better grip so you can actually pull the handbrake on....ewan221 said:
