Guys,
I've got a Chim 400 HC engine from 1996 (Serp). I wonder which Rover engine it is derived from? Is it the newer crossbolted engine case or is it the earlier variant? I've tried to source it but it's a lot of contradicting info on the net..

Any advice?

Thanks/ Jonas

It will be the "intermediate" engine. You can tell by the crossbolt "bosses" on the sides of the block just above the sump line.
These are where the later engines would have the cross bolt fasteners.
