Track rod ends

Quick question, just putting the chim back together, got new track rod ends for it should there be washers under the nut as I don't have any ?

None on my grif

None on my 2001 Chim either - just a Nyloc nut.

I am not sure there should be a washer under any TRE nut on any car as the objective is to hold the taper of the TRE firmly in place inside the steering arm with no possible movement.
