I'd be grateful to anybody who can tell me how to get into the boot of a 450 CHIMAERA, when the electric release has stopped working.

Sorry but nobody on these forums is going to discuss emergency entry issues, certainly not with someone who has only 1 post to their name, as already suggested call your local garage.
