Is there a simple way of just using a 450 fueling chip and plugging that into the current ECU? what else might i need to look at

Ive not looked into this aspect at all yet, so apologies if i am talking nonsense, but thought id ask while im sat at work bored for 5 mins

The biggest difference between the chips is the airflow scaling, as bigger engines draw more air than smaller ones. I do have a 3.9, 4.6 and 5 ltr chip, but its going to be a case of suck it and see, altough TVR power have the full range to match the TVR tuned engines and they where about £70 last time I looked.

it is a 4.6 im after, so if you have one, that'd be great.

Pretty standard Std rover rebuild, with a very close to tvr spec cam and springs, with some inlet and exhaust port gasket matching and a little blending around the ports to remove the lumps and bumps, but nothing drastic.

So im hoping that a tvr 450 fuel map will be pretty close and a good place to run in till i can get a full map done, but will need to check the afr etc before we run it too much

I was heading just to do a cam, chain lifter and spring replacement on my 4.0, but a friend had a good 4.6 block, half way through ported heads, , and rotating assembly that would be a shame to waste,

From what i have heard TVR power do not remap the 14cux but do have a very large cardboard box full of chips. They stick your car on the rollers and find the closest match..

Why not try and get a second hand Mark Adams chip then you can send it away to him with your engine spec..if its not any where near.Think thats about £70 once you pick up a chip..

if i can find one, that'd be great, but in the interim, found a 4.6 chip that will at least get me runnning somewhere close
