I have got my 16" wheels to pick up from the refurbers tomorrow to go on the front (imola wheels) and I have the washers to go on the steering rack from Clevor Trevor. Cost £11 including delivery which seemed a bit ridiculous to me but oh well.

Anyway they didn't come with instructions so does anyone know where these go?

I also thought two nylon washers from B&Q badly cut was also a complete rip off.
In addition when I did the same as you, I found I do not need the washers as nothing hits anything it should not.

If you don't want to unscrew the track rods, you can cut a slot in them and ease them over the rack arms under the gatters.

Its an Absolute p**s take really and they charged me VAT on the postage which their not allowed to do since they used stamps.

But its still handy to have them

The original TVR parts are split washers with a chamfer on one internal ID, you simply twist and click to fit having only released the inboard gaiter clip and eased it outwards. 5 min job only whatever your skill level once you have loosened the clip, probably spend more time making sure you fit the chamfer the right way round TBH.

Anyway yes, reaming the chamfer and making the split in a suitable poly washer should cost peanuts to make your own rack spacers, it all depends how confident you are machining as well as selecting suitable material (wouldn't want any debris getting into those uber reliable PAS racks now would we rofl )

There is no chamfer on the washers sent to me by this supplier.
They are bath tap nylon washers from B&Q.
The supplier should be ashamed of themselves, it certainly means I would not ever purchase from them again.
