Yup its that 'I've found a new button, what does it do?' time again.

Passengers side, just behind the 'glove box', sort of just under the dashboard.

Small controller thing with a knob that can be turned.

I have no idea what it does; but I've turned both ways and now I can't remember what position it was set to begin with.

I haven't found the elusive 'Exhaust Volume Control' have I?

I don't think so, it's more of a round knob/dial thing than a switch, and it's black.

Ah Ha!

Could be.

I've got a good few miles to do tomorrow so I'll give it a try.

If you see a headline of 'Performance car driver dies of hyperthermia in June mystery' you'll know that not only were you right; but also that I managed to adjust the temperature down a bit low..........................

If it is, go careful as having it too low will make the unit frost up, then its less effective and if your waste pipe is not vented outside will dump water in the footwell.I know someone on here who had this from new and took the dealer months to find out why the carpet was wet.

Temperature control on aircon

What do you think it is ? A VW ?

Mine's got aircon - i.e. turn temp control right over to cold and it operates a micro-switch which just kicks the chiller in. NO other controls for it!

Somewhere there will a sensor to turn the aircon off when the unit gets too cold, most VWs etc will be fully automatic eleccy jobbies. Tuscans and Cerb have a consumer "twiddable" control, so i guess a Chim or Griff would not have fully automatic ?
