After watching this site for quite a while I have finally made the leap. Will be picking up a Chimaera 500 on July 9th 
. Not asked any questions myself, just picked up on everyone else's and the great advice that has been given. Wanted one for years, just have to wait these last few days. Looking forward to doing loads of roof off

Well done Sir- you will not regret it!
Actually, it's not so much a 'leap' - more a switching to pure motoring enjoyment.
Mine is a 4lltr- as I need to use the car daily- but the 500 will be fantastic!
I did the same as you two years ago- in that I trawled many old threads on here to get an idea of what to look at and expect etc. (stating the obvious- but get a copy of Steve Heath's Bible
).
I then bought with confidence and, since then, it's reassuring to know that you can refer to/ask on, this site, knowing it covers just about anything that's feasable to ask!
As a downside though, it does sadden me when folk post on here with sentiments such as "I wish I hadn't sold the Chimaera/Griffith"!
No matter the reason, I empathise with this entirely and realise it would really hurt to part with the car.
But, hey- you're just starting! So enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome guys, the wait isn't too bad at the moment. I have a feeling it will really kick-in next week. Just some things to sort out before it arrives.
Insurance is not too bad (£600 a year) but I would like to keep the rover also (daily hack). Any ideas of how to keep this cost down, don't fancy having no, no-claims on a 2 litre turbo car (£1000 ish)

Give MSM Insurance a call - www.msminsurance.co.uk
They will let you use your no claims from your daily drive on the TVR on a limited mileage policy up to 10k miles IIRC
