That's what February's pay packet will be,

I got major cold start issues with the 14cux and need a fix ASAP

But don't worry I will be going coil packs as soon as I can

Hi Alex, glad you have sorted some work.
My cold start was down to the AFM. Not sure if it was related or not, but the stepper motor was also not reseting when the ignition was switched-off. Can you hear a light whirring noise when you switch-off?

Thanks, it's good to be working again!!

I checked my afm, and got another new stepper motor in,

It's most likely down to my cam size, sooner or later I was going to bin the 14cux, seems now is good excuse to do it

Trouble with the plug & play is your paying a big premium for the convenience..
If you know what your doing you can buy a Megasquirt ECU and use the plug from the 14cux.

Seems alot of money for the same product with the 14cux plug..

I went with the plug in and play fuel only and got an increase from 270 to 301, although the original map on the two Lucas ECUs i tried was way off. Of you already have a decent map you may not see as much of a gain. See topic below.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Made quite a lot of changes to the map since fitting the wide band and the car is now running significantly better and definitely putting out more power although it hasn't been back on the dyno again to confirm this yet.

Just received a cosworth brake upgrade kit from Hansdal this morning so will be fitting this next before upgrading to coil packs. Still need to confirm what mods are required to the ECU and wiring hareness do drive the coil packs though. By the way Shaun at v8d reckons the coil packs will give another 8-10 bhp.

Ps daz did you ever post your power at the wheels?

Well i was going to say about 15 gain on a 4.0 then read your post, i assume your talking 4.6/5.0 anyway, and mine is only seat of the pants dyno. For me the low speed drive and pick up was the biggest bonus.
