The roof rear section when folded down is supposed to do act as a deflector.

I managed to get a prototype for my Tuscan.
It was made as the first fit prototype but the factory closed the day they were due to travel up to Blackpool for the trial fit.
Dont know if they ever did anything for a Chimaera.
I'll have to route out the information tomorrow.
Driving back from Germany this afternoon.
(please dont snow).

Just found this -

Assuming you mean this. http://www.classicadditions.com/wind-deflectors-c-...

The drop down doesnt list Tvr's, but they do say call if your vehicle isnt listed, so going out on a limb is Adrian the contact?

The problem is that unless you have a nice rollbar there is nothing much to mount one on to.

That aside the one in the aston locates into a central hole in the middle of the rear seat cushioning and has two locking holes in either side of the car - this could be reproduced with a chimaera scratchchin

It's a couple of years since I called them. I emailed their enquiry address first.

Im surprised no one has fabricated a roll bar like that when doing a full body of restoration !

Looks the nuts ,i have an idea ...Supercharged Rover V8 in a Tuscanscratchchin Got to say they look so much more modern with safety features .

Not quite in the same cosmetic league as the "factory" one (could cover it I guess), but its FIA spec tube and fabrication:

it sits far enough back you could easily put a wind deflector across it:

Nice job ,seen that one before and know the story but it does not look factory like the Tuscan rollbar.

Was it custom made for you? if so by who and what was the rough cost.

A good friend who is a Design engineer made it for me - one off I am afraid but I am sure he wouldnt mind if someone used the design idea themselves.

He also made this - from scratch ! (its not a kit)
