Hi, sorry to bring this up again, but I still am unable to remove the steering boss. Short of borrowing the local farmers tracter, fastenning a peice of string to the buck and the other to the steering wheel it will not shift. Is their a tool about (screwy thing) to fasten underneath the steering wheel and the other end onto the steering column shaft.

Any ideas
Simple problem causing so much missery

Yes you can use a screwy thing. All it will do is rip through the boss and leave the steering wheel in place.

I posted the instructions and that is how to do it. All I can suggest is eat some extra weetabix and go to body building classes. It is incredibly tight!

If you are in any way nampy-pampy with this it would come off!

... and mind your teeth as when the wheel does come off you'll know about it.

You can use a steering wheel puller which grabs the back of the steering wheel and pushes on the steering column, most garages will have one. I had to do this as mine would not come off, however it did damage the steering wheel due to the fact that the boss was so tight!!!, As I was putting a new boss and steering wheel on this did not really bother me!!
Hope this helps, Good Luck
