Has anyone tried lining the roof themselves? are their any advantages (i.e quiter cabin, looking nice), is it worth it?

Can't see why any one would want to cover up that carbon fibre,it looks so cool.

I don't believe it is carbon fibre. I'm sure someone else will know what it really is.

If you're lining the roof to get better soundproofing/insulation then I would suggest starting this project on the rear side bits where the velcro is ... that probably where most of the sound/cold air gets in.

Probably a layer of carbon fibre laid over glassfibre (probably) but still can't see why anyone would wan't to cover it over....

Incidentally - carburettor cleaner is superb at restoring the hood once a 'proprietary' product has been used on it.

One of the Chimaeras in the classis (it's sold now) has a leather lined roof. Padded presumably too. I sent the guy an enail to see if it was an add on or factory job. He said it was apparently was done at the factory to match the full leather interior.

Have a look, the ad is still on there I think.

Mikey, did you have to hammer the keyboard really hard to send your enail?
