Have had chance of buying a 2001 tuscan with TVR Power rebuild( Dom has confirmed this was done in 2005) with 50,000 on clock...

Been chasing for a while now, things don't always turn out as planned to cut a long story short!!!

May be seeing between Xmas and NY?

Haircitmike has his opinions but what is the general opinion?

I will have both cars to drive if I buy the Tuscan but one of then will have to go before the Summer?

Comments appreciated, bearing in mind the money and time I have spent on my Chim, buit I love the looks and power of the Tuscan...

?

Buy it or always regret it.

(then take you time to decide which one to keep and which to sell next year)

That's what I think, the thought of a Tuscan is a feeling I can't describe, the looks of the Tuscan are the dogs bks!!!..I will own both for a few months but one will have to go come Marchish?

Driving one will be the answer to the question

I had a drive of a mk1 Tuscan a few weeks ago (thanks to barry at TVR Ecosse )I would have swapped my Chim for one for sure just on looks ,Power and the drive alone. But After much thinking could i swap my Cerb for a tuscan??? Not quite yet still a lot of fun to be had out the cerb. But i could see me having both one day.

If you can have both until the summer i would do it you only get one shot at life.

I had a drive of one not so long ago, it was chalk n cheese with my Chimaera.
It's a nice car IMHO, but I just couldn't get my head around the front end styling. I know beauty's in the eye of the beholder, but I just thought it was really, really 'Fugly'
I think I'd miss my beloved V8 burble and the fact the Chimaera's a full convertible too, which the Tuscan I drove wasn't

I changed from a car like yours to a Tuscan a little over a year ago. I'd say do it. I loved the Chim, but this thing is just mental. And as for the noise................It's no V8 but it sounds like a thunder storm biggrin

I sold my much loved 1993 Chimaera and bought a Tuscan.
Loved the even more than the Chimaera but missed the 'classic' English sports car appeal of the Chimaera, and the V8 burble.
I now have a convertible Tuscan to get back what I missed from my Chimaera.
AND have just bought a nice 1998 Chimaera.
Realy enjoying both.
Funny thing is, I now find I miss the targa top Tuscan and the ability to leave the roof on and take the rear window out for those long summer motorway drives down to the Med.
Lotto would solve things for me smile

Well i've driven two now, thought there might something wrong with the engine on the first, but the second sounded the same, thats how they sound apparently!

Beautiful looking car, but i personally think the sound they make from low revs to high is nothing to compare with the V8!!!!

End of, thought of changing to the dark side has now left the building byebye

No sympathy here Tony! irked

My missus passes your house every day and comments on a Chim parked on a drive. It was only when I drove past myself and saw the '06' Tusc that the penny dropped. Looking good.
