Manual and PAS track rods - interchangeable?

Hi all,
Search facility is down again. Can anyone tell me whether the track rods (just for clarity, NOT the track rod end but the rod itself) are interchangeable between PAS and Manual steering racks?

Just checked as I have my P/S off the car and still have the manual one.

The manual track rods are longer and I believe a different screw fitting.

That's all I could manage as my head still hurts!
