You'd be better off posting this in the TVR Chimaera section chap, hopefully a Mod will move it

Hope you get it sorted.

That's a feature, as they are prone to being a fire. Alot.

Sounds like your valley gasket has rusted out, very common problem on Chimaera's. It's not a hard job to strip the top down to change it . Best not run the car at all if you have water going into the engine unless you want to carry out a full rebuild.

There is a couple of crude clamps at each end of the gasket all sealed up with silicon sealant that need to be resealed when the gasket is replaced. You can get better composite gaskets that wont rust.

I was very surprised when i found this design feature,Is this the only car which allows water to run all over the engine .

The chap who fitted my meagasquirt had a look at the design feature and he said he could remove that silly no good for nothing skirt and fabricate some type of gutter to take the water away to the inner wings ..

Come on ,some one make one for God sake..furious

thanks im going to replace the valley gasket and i think ill have a bash at ripping that perforated trim off and using it as a template make a vented one that channels water off the engine as you suggested great idea !or HAS anyone already made one ?
