Yes, it's an ACT smoothbore. As far as can see it only fits one way, it does appear to bulge in the photo where it fits the plenum but it fits snugly at both ends. You've got me worried now! I'm off to take another look......................
OK, I've just measured the old hose and it's 80mm I.D at one end and 72mm ID at the other so I don't think that it would fit the other way around.
Thanks for the concern and I will have good look at it tomorrow.

Mine has arrived from ACT this morning and it does look big, and therefore will bulge.
Depends on how fussy you get I suppose, but the idea of going "smoothbore" may not be so attractive if the pipe being oversize leaves a valley on the I.D. where it meets the plenum for air to get caught up.

Sorry mate just remembered my plenum is wider due to the upgrade.Depends on how fussy you get I suppose, but the idea of going "smoothbore" may not be so attractive if the pipe being oversize leaves a valley on the I.D. where it meets the plenum for air to get caught up.

hmm ..if that was an issue you'd think it would be made with a step in the moulding on the inside ??Depends on how fussy you get I suppose, but the idea of going "smoothbore" may not be so attractive if the pipe being oversize leaves a valley on the I.D. where it meets the plenum for air to get caught up.
