Hi,
Understand this may be a touchy subject and people may not wish to post in reply but would appreciate a clue as to the right direction,
I have owned my chimeara for the last 14 yaers (since it was six months old) and have just put it back on the road after a three year gap. Last night the alarm went off for noe reason, It wouldnt respond to the remote at all but it did quieten down and was just cheepingI could open the cat doors and using the fob the engine started, but couldnt stop the cheeping, tried turning off the souder but it baired even louder - in frustration I cut the lead to it!!
This morning car still will not lock or unlock on the remote but does start, another issdue is that the boot now wont open and I have a car cap on so cant drive It!!!
Any suggestions?

Try Carl Baker
He is the most widely recognised alarm/electrical expert, and will be happy to help.
He will normally travel to you if required (for a fee), and no doubt have you up and running as quickly as anyone.
ETA
You are correct that any fairly new member with only a few posts will be unlikely to get much further help with this.
Someone more expert than myself may be willing to offer non-sensitive advice...
Good luck.
