Having bought my Chimaera in August, I have done some 1500 hassle free miles or so, but as a non-mechanic should I think about getting it serviced or can I wait for a few more miles/months? Advice please.....

It all depends when it was last serviced. But if unknown prevention is better than cure so yes get it serviced

Had mine done after 3k and 10 months, couldn't believe the difference - everything felt smoother and more 'together'. Might be just mine, but they seem to come out of that sweet spot pretty quickly.

If it was mine and I didn't know when it had last been serviced, I'd get it done anyhow.
