Although many of you probably realise this, it's possible to get the front nearside indicator bulb out and connector off of a '98 (facelift) Chimaera, through the wing cut-out immediately underneath it (probably also applies to offside, although I didn't need to change that one).

The fitting doesn't come through the hole but with a bit of dexterity, it was easy to unscrew the bulb holder from the lens and bring it forward to the hole for maintenance/bulb change.

Just thought I'd share this with those that don't know, as from the 'bible' read, I was expecting to either have to remove the horns, the radiator bracket or the access panel etc.!

What I thought was going to be a long job took about 10 minutes bounce, so if this post helps anyone with either time, or keeping a few quid in your bank account rather that someone else's then great.

P.S. No, I'm not a gynaecologist or practice fisting in my leisure time hehe.

Those sharp edges surprised my wrists a bit - I wasn't used to that!

Good thinking - I should've remembered Marlon Brando's technique in 'Last tango in Paris'.

One of the mechanics at Mole Valley (some years ago) had this particular talent.
He was so fast, they only charged me for the new lamps.
Granted, they were 'TVR silly price' but it always made far more sense than doing it myself.

Now, finally, I know someone else can do it.
Start practising the other side Alex. Expect visits.

Most of us would need a 6 month holiday in Bergen-Belson to become physically able to perform this trick.
