Does anyone have any suggestions for a good cheap insurance company for tvrs, I am only wanting 2000 miles per year and I have had some daft quotes.

Have you looked at Multicar Policies? Tuscan only costs me about £200pa on a multicar, that is for business use 5000 mile pa. Its a Chaucer policy through Heritage (I think). They insure 3 cars for 2 drivers, all have business use. Total for 3 cars is £1200, the other two on single policies came out at about £1000 with most insurers and the Tuscan on its own £450-1000.

Meant to add, only 1 year NCD on Tuscan and points, plus 1 own fault accident and 2 no fault (none in the Tuscan)

I have just bought a TVR (another topic when I get it) and have gone through Manning. Agreed valuation classic policy with 5k miles for £430 inclusive of breakdown cover and european cover. I have no NCD to use on a second car so I was very pleased with that.

Mannings Classic TVR policy, 3k limited per year and i got it for less than £300.

Speak to Matt at Henderson Taylor, discount for club members. Cheapest for me aon 5K policy and I can build up my own NCB (company car for last 20 years).

I have been quoted £230 for 2k miles agreed value using 9 years no claims bonus. Thought it was a little steep. Seems I may be a true Yorkshireman after all

Not the case, my policy has allowed me to build up my NCB with Henderson Taylor, its a limited mileage sportscar policy underwritten by Aviva.

It's one of the reasons I went for it, as I am only insured on my companys insurance policy for my company car.
