Well fallen in, really. Looks like the superglue gave out.
Given that my copy of the 'bible' says that it's an easy job to fix, but you have to remove the grille mesh first, which is apparently very hard to do, is it worth my while to have a go, or get a garage to do it?

I should point out that I am generally mechanically incompetent.

Go on have a go yourself! Just take your time over it. If you get the grille out the worst that can happen is you have to take it to a garage to get it put back in. I used Araldite to glue my indicator back in.

I used sikaflex (polyurethane sealant) but silicon sealant will do. Hold the indicator in place while it dries by taping a piece of string to the lense and tying it tight to something in front of the car. In fact a 'V' of string would be better.

Easier way...just leave it alone and stick a BMW badge on the bonnet!
