As the title says, where's the best place to get the Expansion Tank blue cap?
(Without having my pants pulled down over the price!)
Cheers!
Ian.

Any good aftermarket parts supplier. Eurocarparts would be a good start, or as i did a VW dealership parts desk. Still 40 per cent cheaper direct from a VW dealership than from the usual TVR specific parts suppliers. Take the old cap in as there is a VW specific part no on there. If i remember its from a VW golf.

Edited to say ive just clicked onto the racetech link, and that is very cheap. Might even buy one myself as a spare at that price!

Its a VW part. Can be ordered from your local VW Dealer. Part number is printed on top of the cap.

Cheers. BB.

Thanks for the suggestions, Racetechdirect sell it for £6.95, plus £6.50 postage, ant idea how much the VAG Dealers sell this for? or an ebay link to a motorfactors etc?
Cheers!

I seem to remember that I paid something like £18 for two ... whatever it was, it wasn't horrendous and at the time I was trying to track down an overheating issue (which turned out to be a knackered rad) so I was quite keen to get them at pretty much any cost. biggrin
