One of the rear numberplate bulbs wasnt contacting right so took out the frenched in holder and saw how over time it has got damn right dirty mucky filthy!!! took bulb out cleaned all contacts then mega squirted with WD40/GT85 until clean dried off and replaced bulb and unit checked lights and worked ok it was so clean it made the other unit look so damn filthy dirty mucky so i had to do that side toobiggrin

End result: a lot less dirtier filthy mucky units and a lot brighter bulbs thumbup

Then the car looked dirty filthy mucky... so i washed and polished it hehe

Slightly related question:

I need to source the screws that hold in my number plate lights. Does anyone know how to get hold of them? They are not standard in the modern sense, and mine are worn & rusty.

Many thanks,

Rich

Screwfix are crap for that sort of thing.

I only know Belton & Slade in Wandsworth High Street, they have everything and I'm not kidding!

All you are doing is securing into fibreglass so a decent woodscrew or self tapper should do it
