Possibly better in the TVR section as you may get folks looking at your post that know the car's history?

I have a Chim, utterly wonderful things biggrin so good luck with your search!

Horrible wheels, blue tinted headlights and white ain't the best on these. Nah.

Each to their own though!

I didn't want to say anything but as others have I don't feel so bad. You rarely see modified/chavved TVRs and this shows why. It just screams to me that whoever owned it last didn't have a clue. Those wheels yuck

Not keen, i feel TVRs are best left standard they are lovely as they leave the factory & should be kept that way.

Adjustable rake on steering wheel?

Adjustable reach also?

Could be any number of cars but not a TVR.

On the flip side, if the vendor knows this little about the car, and a TVR-knowledgable friend goes with you, you might just get a good deal.

My advice is to take someone who knows all about them - if you don't, of course. Good luck.

Rich

Not that bad looking overall IMO,obviously an early car, the blue headlamps are too Barry for my taste and the seats/wheels are'nt factory but it's not the end of the world.
Nothing wrong with white paint neither biggrin.
If you PM me with the reg no or last four digits of the chassis number , i may be able to dig out it's factory build spec.

Haha, never seen these features on a Chimaera before, must be a one off so well worth the money !

Sorry for the sarcasm. On a serious note, if that colour / wheel combo floats your boat, then for 5.5k you can't go far wrong as long as mechanically it's sound, and the chassis is solid

Chimeara or a Monaro eh?

Couldn't get much more different. Wouldn't worry about blue lights or horrible wheels, they can be changed in minutes (doesn't full ad say "original wheels included"?).
White is not "my cup of tea" but it would be boring if we all liked the same things wouldn't it?

Its been said a 100 times before but main thing has to be condition of chassis , if that looks good (it's hard to see the bits that rot) or there's proof of recent good quality repairs it could be a very nice entry to the World of TVR !

i don't have a problem with white, but everything else about the description and likely background screams "run away !"

...even down to the trade sellers' company name mimicking a reputable dealer groups. For example If i saw a cheap TVR advertised by a company called Fernhirst (as opposed to Fernhurst) I would be immediately suspicious
