I've just fitted the ACT water hoses and afterwards the temp gauge isn't working at all and the fans don't appear to be kicking in. I'm guessing these might be two unrelated problems but poss mean I've disturbed something?

I had removed the swirl pot to clean it up (well polish, as you do)so is it possible I may have somehow damaged the otter switch? or connections?

As regards the gauge, I'm wondering if I've knocked the sender? but I've no idea where this is and the "bible" isn't much help on this - any pointers or ideally pics? (97 serp).

Got the fans working. must have disturbed connections on otter switch.

Temp gauge still completely dead, I'm sure sender is only 18 months old so maybe something loose somewhere - if its the large'ish brass hex thing behind the dizzy I don't fancy a go at replacing it.

P.S. Is it just mine or does the wiring under all TVR bonnets look like it's about to fall to bits? No protection against moisture, etc.

Temperature sender is down by the distributor, but silly question first, have you got rid of all the air?

Yeah, followed the guidance on here regarding funnels and squeezing hoses for ages - seemed to do the job.

yes The large brass hex thing. Check the spade/wiring is ok. You may have disturbed it/damaged the spade or wire.

Yes, yes I did - just spotted it, I see Machine mart do a 10" forceps thingy for £3.99 so I'm going to give it a go with them.
