The rubber seal that sits against the window at the top of the door has come loose. Even if I re-glued it, there is a big gap (maybe 8 to 10mm) between the rubber and the glass, which will let in any water that runs down the window. Its as if the window need pushing outwards so it meets the seal?
Had the door cards off but couldn't notice any way to push the glass out.

I was going to buy some new rubber is this the right one?

Are you talking about the seal at top of window to the targa roof?

No it's the one at the bottom of the glass. There's a gap between the seal and the window.

Hi Simon, I have just spent the last 2 days trying to improve the speed/alignmentof my passenger window (TO NO AVAIL, THE LAYOUT INSIDE THE DOOR IS DIABOLICAL) however enough of that. In the trailing edge of the door is the rear runner, held at the top with a 8mmm bolt(13mm head) the bottom of the runner is held by 2 6mm(10mm head) dome head bolts, the runner has a large hole in the top fixing which allows it to move and the lower fixing is the same so allowing movement, you can only access the top fixing with the glass up,

Thanks! Do you think maybe if I put a couple of washers under the nuts it might push the glass back out slightly?

Simon, there should be no need to do that,I assume it was ok originally, its possible the bolt may have come loose and allowed the frame to move, the bolt hole is enlarged to allow for alignment so just a case of get in position and tighten up, however i would be inclined to look further because if the glass has moved that far from the rubber in theory the frame should then be too tight against the hood

I see what you mean. The door does sometimes need a good push, it must be because the top of the glass is against the hood.

If that is the case Simon, put the glass up ,reach inside at the top towards the outerside of the door and you will find the bolt
