Or fit a set of short flared aluminum 38mm trumpets to suit your trumpet base.

If I where to fit said short flared trumpets where would I get them from? and would it run a little weak with them?

Try V8D, ACT or any of the trusted places.

As to weak, I don't think so.

Or cut the middle 4 10mm and the outer 4 15mm
There are specific numbers from SC Power i think that even up the inlet tract length trumpet to valve.

..are you fitting the insulating base-plate etc by any chance?

Does anyone know of the real world gains of fitting superflared trumpets over cutting the originals down - my originals do flare a little at the top but I have heard that some are just like straight bits of pipe?

They are just straight pipes, you can remove them your self as cut them down also, there is a difference in the sc power flare over standard not sure of true gains

I hope there is. I have just ordered ACT flared trumpets and smooth bore induction as my winter upgrade.
