Also proud new Chim owner
Discussion
Just bought me a lovely 97 Chim 400 with pas and 37000 miles. Its halcyon midas pearl yellow with blue leather, yellow stitching and dials.
Couple of problems though; engine temp gauge shows 70 degrees when warm... Should be higher. Fans go on like normal.
Same with the oil pressure gauge, says 35 all the time.
Drivers mirror, motor for up and down adjust dont work...
Cheers guys, love the car
awesome sound with sleeved exhaust!

Just got off the boat in Norway, on the hanger... had to go out of the car via the window

Sleeving the rear silencer, 100 quid for the hole job, nice!

How are you going to sell the reg now its in Norway ?you don`t want to loose £1000 ..
Do you have 6 months before re registering on to Norway plates.
Ill have to register the car in england with the dvla, pay tax, show mot etc. Then I can put the plates on detention, then sell.Do you have 6 months before re registering on to Norway plates.

Believe me that it`s no ordinary Yellow ,this car sat next to a yellow Chimaera 500 and made it look dull.
It`s some type of pearlescent yellow ,needed sunglasses when the chap took it outside..
£450 for the plate ..OK
hehe Daz, well see about the plate price when I complete the dvla crap...It`s some type of pearlescent yellow ,needed sunglasses when the chap took it outside..

£450 for the plate ..OK
If nothing has changed ,anyone in the EU can drive there car in to The UK and keep the car registered from there home country for 6 months without paying road Tax.
If they leave the UK before the six months is up even for one day,say a day drip to France on return they are honoured another 6 months.
I know Polish who insure there car from home for a fraction of the cost and never have to pay road tax..just by leaving the UK for one day..

At least you could use the 6 months to sort the private plate out etc.
Are you allowed to drive the car now in Norway with the Uk plate and not registered to with Norway.

What i am trying to say is your in the EU so laws maybe the same ..you may have 6 months grace before doing all the paper work and paying that 13K .If you live near the border of another EU country you could drive in to that country and never have to register it in Norway..
At least you could use the 6 months to sort the private plate out etc.
