Hi, has anyone installed the type (commonly seen on ebay) of the fuel press regulators that the pressure can be self ajusted, sometimes they have a gauge attached?

I was curious simply that reading the blurb, they promise better throttle response and quite often are much cheaper than the basic device fitted as standard. They also look rather fancy !

If fitted a cheap one, (with gauge- a must have) but the adjustment was very crude and it was difficult to get a reliable setting on it, so I would not recommend it. It also tended to bleed down as it did not shut off properly. All that stuff about better running might have been true in the days of mechanical fuel injection, but even with a system as old as the 14CUX the electronics and mapping takes care of the engines fueling needs.

If you need a fuel regulator you are better to buy a 1:1 linea not rising rate

I took V8D`s advice on fuel regulator choice when my fueling was out with the standard chip ,i did not want to buy a £400 best guess map at that time .

So this is the one fitted ,you need a rail adapter .
Works the same as the standard one but can be tweaked..
