Hi guys,

New to the forum so appologies for any repetition if this has been asked before. Have just picked up a 94 Chi, currently with a few electronics problems that i'm trying to fix. I'm desperately trying to get hold of a wiring diagram as whoever last had it has put in some fairly "quirky" modifications to the wiring where an understanding was obviously not grasped.

Any help would be great as she's currently in bits desperate to be driven.

Cheers,

Adam

I wish it was, got a friend who's had a few. Said he definitely hasn't seen a switch bodged onto the dash to start the fuel pump before. Must be careful not to knock it whilst driving and thus switch the engine off ! ! ! ! ha.

Other than that and the makeshift immobiliser that's been put in it is all standard.

Desperate to get a full car wiring diagram though. You guys know where i might be able to track one down ?

Cheers,

Adam

Couple of options;

One here for a 40p download (no, I have no connection) http://www.rv8r.co.uk/guides.html

The other is Steve Heath's Chim/Griff bible: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=st...

Enjoy

Trev, i've got the first one but it's not got any diagrams in it. Do you know if the Steve Heath one has these as that's pretty much the only thing i need.

Cheers,

Adam

You'll have to take into consideration that both schematics apply to the wiring for an early pre-cat Griffith.

I like that laugh
Is it true that every Chimaera loom was assembled by one very patient and tallented lady from Bristol Ave?

Not quite as specific as an early pre-cat...........The Bible reflects a "representative" wiring diagrams for Griff 4.xx and Chims and all subsequent cars. It has specific fuse layouts for 93, 95, 96 & 98 and auxiliary wiring diagrams.

What no-one has is "specific" wiring diagrams for specific years.................there are specialists out there for items such as alarm systems and the Fuel injection sub-systems

The "bible" is an excellent source of good information and not jsut about pre-cat Griffs.........IMVHO

Trev,

So glad that you posted that on here. I thought i'd seen that somewhere a few days ago but couldn't for the life of me remember where.

I'd love to say this little book will solve all my problems but i think that would be naive.

Being a new member on here and this being my first Chi i have no doubt we will chat again. Going to keep new pics coming as i get stuff sorted.
