Hi guys, this is to all of you who have gone down the ms route. I am halfway through making the engine loom to go from the ms to the engine. I know pins 32&33 and pins 34&35 feed left and right hand injectors no problem there but there is a live going to the injectors as well?
The junior power connectors have two wire pins numbered 1 and 2, which one does the output from the ms go to....?

I can't find any info anywhere...!!!

Hi, the Megasquirt ECU grounds one side of the injector to make it open.
There should be a live to one side of the injector (which goes live when the ignition is turned on)
The other side goes to the ECU.
The injector bodies are not grounded to either pin on the mini timer connector so the polarity of the injector supply does not matter.
Hope that helps.
Paul.

Cool - that was the answer I was hoping for...I have made my own wiring diagram but did it a few months ago and couldn't remember how I came to the conclusion I had...!

The live side on my diagram was a bit vague as I concentrated more on the ms/Edison wiring...

Cheers for your help...I can get on with the soldering now...

I disagree and think that it does matter... There are standards that you should follow, things like Noid lights will expect the correct polarity and at some stage someone will want to do diagnostics..., whether with a noid light, DVM testing for bank continiuity, grounding to ecu pin, power continuity to relay, relay operation.....

Even though these things are DIY you should still strive to make a professional job. Pinouts of most timer connectors will also tell you what should be connected to which pin by convention.

Cheers spend,

I am trying to do a tidy (professional) job and all advice is taken on board....!
