They have a well deserved reputation so if they're closest to you I'd be heading there first.

I've known people travel from up here in Scotland for Dom's work, so I'm pretty sure if you live close, it's a good idea.

Can you kindly explain what is involved with a big service and what is the general cost thanks.

Don`t know if i am in the same boat as alot of people but i have never took mine to a specialist for a service so have know idea of costs .

Every year i buy

Oil
oil filter
fuel filter

clean the airfilter
change the fuel filter
change the oil and filter
change the plugs every other year
drain and fill diff gearbox oil every year
check brake and clutch fluids change when i feel like it .

Stick the car on a friends ramp
check chassis
check steering UJ`s
check pads
brake pipes etc
just have a flirt around the area.

The whole lot costs me around £80 and extra for plugs every two years takes me a few hours..

Would this be classed as the big service ?

Is it just me, or is the V8 service schedule for 6000 miles identical to the one for 12000 miles - is the extra 130 quid for writing an extra number in the service book?

SiliconeKid has a point IMO - and I for one won't be laughing at him

Daz makes some very good points....just how much is that service book worth now on these cars. I do all mine myself and keep reciepts.

There only an old skool rover V8 engine nothing to them. hehe

Visit www.rv8r.co.uk service schedules and idiots guide to everything. Very therapeutic I can tell you and if you do the lot like I do your likely to be giving it a better service than some of the specialists out there. Does it save me money - absolutely! Will it have a negative impact on sale price - probably but it ain't for sale!!

Back on topic - in my experience you gets what you pays for at Tvr power, I've always found them both helpfully and reliable when I've used them.
