Mine does about 30 mpg whilst going 70+mph

But any thing less than 50 it halves!

Dam it! I mean it drops to 10-15mpg

But when it's on song the mpg goes to 25-30mpg

I have to say, i'm happy to read these as i've just got mine and if it's back in one piece in time i've got a trip down to cornwall to do so would be pretty damn happy with 28-30 mpg !!

I've had my 4.0 Chimaera for 10 years and it usually averages no more than 25mpg.
However, last year I went to France in convoy with some mates. Our 'pace car' for the journey from Lancaster to Reims was a light footed MGB driver, who kept us at 65-70mph.

For that, never to be repeated journey, my car averaged a staggering 32.9mpg.

Mind you, it was fking boring.

If you're looking at mpg figures it's time to sell up and buy a diesel.

mpg becomes an important factor to a lot of us.
I dont mind the odd Sunday blast achieving below 15 mpg, but it helps when i can do a 400 mile round trip and get nearer 30 mpg. Thats quite a saving on the weekend.

Agreed, the cheaper it is to run, the more use it will get

A sensible drive to the pod or Shakey and back will save money to be spent on nitrous and entry fees.
