Boot has a mind of its own

My boot keeps opening itself when im driving and is driving me nuts.

It is higher on the side with the gas strut as well.

Anyone got any ideas how i can fix this?

It could be the catch. Try loosening the bolts that hold it in on the bodyside, close the boot and then open it and tighten the bolts in position. They loosen over time, so check them every 3 months or so.

Might want to check the connections on the button under the dash as well. That or possibly the spring in the latch.
