Next job!! Gearbox oil recommendations please!!!

Next on the never ending job sheet gearbox oil change! I've the T5 box so what are you putting in yours and where from?

I doubt if you can still get the original recommended oil as on plate in engine bay

Hi, Try Opie Oils very helpful chap there. Tell them what you have and they mke recommendations.

Just put redline MTL in mine and could feel a difference immediately.

Mobil ATF still available.Do a search on ebay.

I got the Mobil ATF from the village Esso station. Most Esso stations seem to have it.

A little tip for filling it up again: Take the trim off inside the car that covers the fill hole, and use a washing machine pipe (the one with the elbow on it). You can poke the elbow in the fill hole and then screw half a lemonade bottle onto the other end to use as a funnel. Nice and easy and avoids sloshing oil all over the inside of the car.
