Washer fluid

This may be a stupid question, but have only had the car a week and was wondering how you tell how much washer fluid you have and the best way to fill it up. Is it best to get a funnel of some kind as there is not much space between the hole and the bonnet.

A funnel does make it a little easier, best way to check the level is to fill it up, when it flows over the top it's full
