Hi Everyone

I posted recently and recieved some great advice on buying my first TVR, can I ask a few more things and they are nothing to do with chassis or mechanicals!

Is the radio reception usually hit and miss?
Should the spare wheel be the same as the main ones?
Is the dashboard usually an orchestra of rattles and squeaks?
Are Toyo proxes tyres any good?

The car is 1997 450

Thanks again

i have only had my Chim for a month so i can only go from my short experience

1. radio - not switched it on as there is no need to once you hear that V8 raw!!!!
2. Spare wheel - no should be the original spare from TVR
3. dashboard should be solid and tight - no rattles from my Chim
4. Toyo tyres? not bad.not great

It varies some people report poor radio reception but mine works fine.

The spare wheel is a space saver but is often removed for extra space.

Dashboard shouldn't rattle & squeak but none of the equipment under the dash is fixed down so some do rattle but can be fixed by removing the top & cable tieing etc the components down.

Toyo Proxes are well respected here but as with any tyres some people will dislike them.

Also depends on their age and condition. Check the pressures they need to be a bit harder( ~2 lbs) than the OE Bridgestones
