Just shopping for insurance and as money is tight for various reasons I need monthly installments so unfortunately I have to go away from A Manning this year.
I've had various quotes from the usual places Adrian Flux etc. I saw Performance specialists on google and their quote compares with most and with monthly payments - they would put it with an insurance company callled "Market Place" as a classic car with £150 excess.
Anyone have any experience of this company or have any other recommendations ?
Cheers
Steve

Haven't heard of them. I went through BeWiser, they worked out the cheapest for me, not quite sure who the final policy ends up with as they're a broker, but they are cheap.

Not sure how confident i'd be in the event that i ever needed to claim anything but if cost efficiency is what you're looking for i shopped around for ages and found they gave the best price !

Thanks - will have a look at them.
Never know how good any of them are until you need to make a claim - !!

RH are always cheapest for me. I've just renewed for another year with them for £182. There was an option for installments on the policy too, if you prefer to do it that way.

These quotes are all very cheap - are you sure you are getting full cover ie agreed value, EU cover, trackday cover, legal cover, small excesses - of course if you don't need these things thats fine ?

Yep, all that - (track day cover isn't worth the paper it's written on). I also get breakdown cover thrown in which includes the EU.

The catch is limited to mileage >3000, but that can be adjusted if the need arises.

Gutted - renewed mine last week with Manning 280 - it had increased again year on year without a claim but were still best all things considered. Will have to try RH next year missed my radar this year.......

Forgive my ignorance but what does RH stand for? I need to insure mine soon so I'll give them a try.
Happy to go limited mileage, about 3K is enough I guess.
Thanks

Thanks for the RH heads up - they have quoted £250 and all the details look good and do monthly intallments which suits me at the moment.

I use Classic Line - £325 per year limited mileage. The only issue that is now about to come back to bite me is that they don't use your NCB so (unless I'm understanding this wrongly and please do tell me if I am), I have to insure something else within 2 years or lose my 9 years NCB.

'Keep it on file'? Did they explain what that meant? Are they taking it into consideration for your premiums?

I use a brokers called 2Gether, think the actually insurer is KGM. I'm 27 (26 when I bought the Chim) and pay a smidge under 300 for bells and whistles cover..PLUS the policy accrues NCB too! Unlike most classic/second car policies.

Do check, because I was told that my NCB wasn't taken into account.
