As a general DIY numptie and lazy arse I am not in the habit of fettling with my P & J as I always waste a weekend getting a) it all wrong, b) frustrated and c) injured. I am looking at the likely cost of an interior refurb including carpets, seats and new veneer to the dash. Does anyone have an idea of likely cost and whether there are any companies in the Londinium area where I could drop the car off and pick it up later with a bundle of 'Nelsons' changing hands?

Any help would be appreciated. thumbup

John,

To give you an idea i think the carpets go for about £350, Ally dash (which i'd say would be a preferable upgrade) or new veneer i believe costs anything up to around £200 - Alternatively i did my carbon fibre one for £40, but it was a bit of a faff !! Someone posted a link on here with seats the other day and i'm waiting to see how much they are. I think Ropps has found a specialist in the berks area so might be worth asking him how much they are charging him for stuff.

Thanks for that AJ. I suspect that these are DIY costs as the new dash veneer seems to be in the area of £650 (veneer about £200 and around 6 hours labour I understand). Ali dash is much cheaper (by a long way) but is still around the £450 mark.

Jesus, i didn't think it was that much for an Ali dash. I've seen a couple fo on here for a lot less than £450. Depends how urgent you are to do it i suppose. This is another option ..

He's got 4, i'd be very tempted to get one of those, depending on what it goes up to. Then at least you've got a fresh one to try doing it yourself and don't have the hassle of stripping it all back !

Doign it yourself is all part of the fun banghead ha
