Does anybody know what disks were used on my 1997 chimaera 450 or is it a case of taking them off and matching them up at my local motor factors.
Cheers
I have a 1997 450 and there are two different front discs, with different heights or offsets from the hub. You need to measure the disc you take off to make sure you get the right one so that the disc sits centrally in the caliper.Cheers
Also, I'd only pay the extra for grooved / drilled discs if you're going to be using them hard and have experienced or expect to experience brake fade due to overheating. The standard solid vented discs are fine for normal to fast road use. There has also been mixed press about EBC (although I'm on my second set). The garage the are doing the service on mine said that they don't fit EBC.
