how do you get a redbull can around the coil as it looks like the coil is a bit larger and how do you cut it to fit

I guess you just have the gap underneath so you can't see it. Be careful though as I imagine a cut-up Redbull can would be like a razor.

Yeah be careful i have done mine.
A good pair of sharp scissors is all you need and a bit of duck tape.

Correct this was my second one and pretty sure it was the bigger can.

Tidys the engine bay up abit as most coils look abit stty nowadays and looks far better than those tacky chrome covers.

I have a pedigree can over mine but that's cuz the car has a drinking problem.

They ALL having a drinking problem Jony biggrin

As to 'tidying' up anything, on that point we will have to agree to strongly disagree.
A tube of Solvol and 10 minutes of liberal elbow grease (if it worried me at all in the first place) would have been my budget solution.
Or a new Lucas coil at around 23 pounds for the less budget concious.

To each their own I suppose.

yup which is why I came to TVR from Triumphs (apart from the noise, the looks etc hehe) as I got sick of all the snobbery of 'oh why on earth have you done THAT!'

so who cares Why? if someone wants to then let them, same if they dont car about using it and abusing it, polish it till the cows come home them trailer it to the concours, not my cup of tea but by god it'd be boring if we all had the same rolleyes

David Batty took one look at mine (sat in amongst a sea of pristine looking Tivs sat outside his garage) ... its front wheels were almost graphite coloured with caked on brake dust, the rears just looked brown, the bodywork was filthy, the roof had a birdsh*t bomb run on it that can only have been a relief for the depositor to have finally managed to unblock and get rid of ... and his comment was simply "Nice to see one that's used..." hehe

Not quite but why did I spend an extra few quid on the blue silicone coolant hoses than just going for the black ones ... or in fact why did I go for the silicone hoses at all given that the ones that were there already weren't needing replacement?

Why did I go for the "nice" Magnecore leads when the basic Lucas ones are - in reality - perfectly good for the job?

We are "big kids" at heart and long may it continue. biggrin

Don"t see the point................

I've got a nice "Schwepps Indian tonic water" one over my coil, so much more middle class smile.
