I have an early Chim and it has the door 'open' buttons just behind the doors, with the slot for the key in the middle of them...

I have had an alarm fitted by Maestro Baker and the use of a 'key' to gain entry to my trusty steed is now redundant as a simple push of the a button on the fob enables the door button to be depressed and the door opens...

What I am interested in is is a cover for that button, so it looks like a slightly later Chim with a smooth button to open the door..

Is there such a thing (thin metal cap) that I can simply place over the existing button that makes it look tidy?

Cheers

I was wondering that too ... would also mean that I don't have to worry about my ignition barrel wearing and not having the same key for the lock and ignition barrel. biggrin

I have the same but I have seen cars with the same button but had central locking so no key hole just a silver push button so I'm sure you will be able to swap them over?

Mmmmmm - I wondered if you could get a 'cap' a la Leven, that could simply be held in place with a few spots from a hot glue gun - know what I mean? (and obviously not into the bloody barrel)
